How Custom Round Boxes Are Manufactured
Round rigid boxes require a different manufacturing process from standard square packaging. The cylindrical body must be formed accurately, the wrapping paper applied smoothly around the curve and the lid developed to match the finished body diameter.
Board Cutting
Greyboard is prepared for the cylindrical body, round base disc and lid components according to the approved size.
Tube Forming
The body board is formed into a cylinder and joined along the vertical seam before the base is assembled.
Lid Forming & Fit
The round lid is formed separately and sized to fit the finished cylindrical body with the required opening feel.
Curved Paper Wrapping
Printed or specialty paper is wrapped around the curved surface, with attention to smooth application and seam positioning.
